Swansea City chief John van Zweden fears the sack at the Liberty.
Dutch sources say Van Zweden will learn on Monday if the club will take action against the shareholder over his public criticism of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
Van Zweden has defended his actions, though concedes he shouldn't be taunting LVG and United on Twitter.
"I should not have done that," he admitted over a tweet after the Swans did the double over United. "I will tell my president Monday."
He continued: "I hope it fizzles out. But in the worst case, they can fire me."
Van Zweden wrote to Swans chairman Huw Jenkins a fortnight ago.
"In it I said it was not my intention to bring the club into disrepute. That's two weeks ago, I've not heard anything more from him."
