Swansea City manager Garry Monk says Gylfi Sigurdsson has nothing to prove at the Welsh club.
The 24-year old Iceland international is back at the Liberty Stadium after joining from Tottenham last month and despite netting seven goals while on loan with the Swans in 2012, Monk says there is no pressure on him this time around.
"He is a quality player who has come back a better player," said Monk.
"He had a difficult time at Tottenham, where he felt, because his chances were limited, he had to prove something or score a goal.
"I have told him to come here and settle, he does not need to do that here."
Sigurdsson joined Spurs from German club Hoffenheim for around £9million in July 2012 and scored 13 goals in 83 appearances for the north London club.
