Swansea boss Laudrup full of praise for Moyes' Everton achievements

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup has heaped praise on David Moyes for his work at Everton.

Laudrup praised the work of Everton boss Moyes who celebrated 10 years in charge of the Goodison Park club this year.

"It is a big challenge for us against a club who have a lot of continuity on the pitch and in the offices," Laudrup told the South Wales Echo.

"Moyes has been there 10 years so everyone knows exactly what is wanted of them. They are strong with a lot of individual quality.

"From the outside it is strange because I think it can only happen in this country where a manager stays so long - and he is not even the longest serving manager in the league.

"In the south of Europe where I have spent most of my career it is only two or three years a manager stays - the maximum is five which has been the record for the last 25 years.

"Continuity is very important on the bench and on the pitch as well. Look at the great teams and they always play better when they know each other.

"You cannot bring in eight players however good they are and expect them to play together well, you have to know each other, know what is wanted and know the movement with and without the ball."
