Swansea boosted as defender Taylor signs new deal

Skysports.com reports that much coveted left-back Neil Taylor has signed a new four-year deal with Swansea. Newcastle were keen on landing the Wales international but the Swans rejected their £1million offer.

The news comes just 24 hours after Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed the defender would be putting pen-to-paper on a new deal.

Taylor's decision to stay and commit his future comes as a massive boost for Swansea ahead of their inaugural campaign of Premier League football.
