Suso struck twice for AC Milan in their 3-0 friendly win over Reggiana.
Suso has struggled since his January move from Liverpool.
"I needed time to settle in. I did the best I could and am happy," he told MilanNews.it.
"Playing on the right I have the opportunity to score goals or provide assists, depending on the situation. Cutting in from the right it's easy to shoot with the left and I was fortunate to score a great goal today.
"My ideal position is where I played today, but it doesn't matter where, the important thing is to play.
"I came here to give a helping hand to the team. I'd like to play, of course. Coach Inzaghi sees me training every day and I want to make the most of my opportunities.
"If the Coach gives me the chance to play against Palermo, then I'll give my best, as I did today."
