Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones says he will learn from his red card suffered against West Ham United.
Jones is still irritated by Herita Ilunga's reaction to his push but is more determined to move on from the incident as he prepares to sit out another two games in the stands.
"It's not nice to have to sit out three matches, of course it isn't," Jones told The Journal.
"But that's the punishment I have to take for the suspension so I guess I have to take it and deal with it. It has happened and I'm suspended. There is nothing I can do about it now.
"All I can do is move on. Everything in life that happens to you, you learn a lesson. Whether it is good or bad there is always something to take from it and hopefully this won't happen again.
"I try not to think about it too much."
Jones added: "The manager hasn't said anything more about it to me. I've been fined and that is what the club has to do. I can only concentrate on training and making sure I'm ready to come back into the side when the three games are up.
