Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson admits he could be playing for Newcastle United.

The Swede hasn't looked back since joining the Black Cats.

He told The Journal: "When I was at Birmingham there was a lot of speculation about different moves.

"Newcastle was one of the teams mentioned but I never went anywhere to talk to anyone. As far as I know, I didn't come up to Newcastle! I had lots of options and there's always speculation when you're in that position."
