Sunderland are keeping tabs on Wolfsburg striker Dieumerci Mbokani.
Mbokani is on-loan at Wolves from France's AS Monaco, but has struggled to make an impact in Germany.
Wolfsburg will not be taking up the option to sign Mbokani permanently, while he has little future at ASM.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is considering a move for the DR Congo striker, who built his reputation during several successful seasons in Belgium with Standard Liege.
