Sunderland are watching Borussia Monchengladbach defender Oscar Wendt.
The 26 year-old Sweden international has been on Sunderland's radar since before Martin O'Neill's appointment.
O'Neill is keen to find a new left-back signing and is having Wendt followed for the remainder of this season.
