Former Aston Villa assistant manager Michael Beale wants to sign Lamare Bogarde.

Beale has been impressive at Sunderland in the Championship so far this season.

The Black Cats are in the playoff hunt, with the ex-Rangers manager hoping to secure new signings in January.

Per The Athletic, both Sunderland and Aberdeen are serious about securing Bogarde.

The midfielder is back from a loan spell at Bristol Rovers, as he did not get enough game time.

The 19-year-old wants to play as often as possible at this stage of his career.
