Austria midfield general Julian Baumgartlinger is attracting Premier League interest.
The Sun says Sunderland boss David Moyes sent scout Robbie Cooke to see the ace in top form against Wales last week.
Baumgartlinger, 28, plays in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen.
However, he could be tempted to move to the Premier League in January.
