Sunderland hope they're not crowded out of a deal for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.
The Evening Chronicle says Sunderland remain keen to bring the Italian back to the Stadium of Light this summer.
However, Borini has plenty of options, with several clubs both in England and Italy said to have shown interest, while he could yet decide to stay at Anfield and try to force his way into Brendan Rodgers' side.
There has also been talk of Borini being offered to Southampton as the makeweight in a deal to sign England midfielder Adam Lallana, who is valued in the £30m bracket by the Saints.
