Sunderland to revive bid for West Brom's McShane

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is reviving his bid for West Brom defender Paul McShane.

Sunderland agreed a £5m fee with West Brom for McShane and his defensive colleague Paul Robinson - but the double swoop is believed to have broken down after the pair underwent medicals on Wearside.

Left-back Robinson is thought to have failed his medical and Keane has already abandoned that move.

McShane's medical at the beginning of July is believed to have shown up a hip problem but the Wearsiders are still willing to sign him, says The Journal.
