Sunderland, QPR and Newcastle United are on alert over the availability of Valencia striker Jonas.
The Brazilian terminated his contract with Valencia by mutual consent last night.
It's understood Jonas would be happy to remain in Europe and his representatives are in contact with Premier League clubs about his availability.
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is particularly keen after failing to land Liverpool striker Fabio Borini yesterday.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes is also interested, being a fan of Brazilian football.
In three seasons with Los Che, Jonas scored an impressive 82 goals.
