Sunderland have made an opening bid for Leeds United defender Sam Byram.
The Sun says Sunderland have made an £8m offer for Leeds defender Byram.
Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat is keen to find a new right-back for the coming season and Byram has been identified as an option.
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is also on Sunderland's radar.
