Sunderland have offered £3 million for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The Mirror says Jambos owner Vladimir Romanov is mulling over the bid, but it's similar to the offer he rejected in January from Fulham.

Sunderland are likely to be told to up their offer, but even if a deal is agreed they still have work to do to convince Gordon his future lies at the Stadium of Light.
