Sunderland are launching a bid for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Sunday Mirror says Sunderland last night made a move to sign £5 million Berbatov as the race for the Manchester United misfit begins to hot up.
Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg are also thought to have contacted Old Trafford yesterday with Berbatov now very much surplus to requirements.
