Sunderland go for Spartak Moscow winger McGeady

Sunderland are hunting Spartak Moscow star Aiden McGeady.

The Daily Star says the ex-Celtic winger, currently with the Irish squad ahead of their European Championship, is halfway through a four-year deal at Spartak Moscow.

But Black Cats chief Martin O'Neill, who handed McGeady his league debut when he was manager of the Glasgow club, wants him at the Stadium of Light.
