Sunderland are chasing Reading pair Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt.

The Mirror says the Royals have put winger Hunt and Doyle, 25, up for sale after their play-off failure.

New Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is a confirmed fan of Hunt, 27, after trying to sign him for Wigan last year.

Bruce also wants to sign another hitman after Djibril Cisse's loan ended.
