Sunderland target Dieumerci Mbokani is in limbo.

Unwanted at parent club AS Monaco, Mbokani has also been informed by Wolfsburg that he will not be offered a permanent deal at the end of the season.

And the striker has been told by DR Congo this week that he will not be considered for national team selection.

Mbokani is now eyeing a move to England to reignite his flagging career, where Sunderland and Everton have been linked with his transfer.
