Sunderland defender Matthew Kilgallon is happy with his move to Doncaster Rovers.
Now fully fit, Kilgallon jumped at the chance to kick-start his campaign with Rovers and believes he can help guide the club towards the top six.
"I wanted to go out on loan and a lot of players had talked highly about the place," Kilgallon told doncasterroversfc.co.uk.
"So I asked my agent 'what about Donny? It's close to my home, so I wouldn't have to move again, and they're doing well.' He said 'I'll see what I can do' and we have got it all sorted.
"I just wanted to enjoy playing my football again and I thought that this would be the right club to do it. This was my first choice and I am glad that I am here.
"Hopefully I can get in the team and get back to performing as I was. Then I hope I can get us into the play-offs."
