Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini expects to be back in action next month.
Giaccherini suffered an ankle injury at Burnley last month and, after a visit to Italy this week, is hoping to be back in action next month.
"I'll be back in November," said the £6.5m signing from Juventus.
"I have to keep the protective cask on for another two weeks. Next week I will return to begin rehabilitation again. A bit on the bike, in the pool and then we will see how things go from there.
"It is a shame - I had been playing. After a year of getting used to the Premier League, though, I am ready to do well with Sunderland."
