Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was pleased with their 0-0 draw against Vitoria Setubal.
The third and final game in Albufeira proved to be another good test for Sunderland as they continue their preparations for the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season.
"I think the game was pretty similar to the one we played the other day, but obviously with a different result," Poyet told SAFSee after the game.
"Like I said before the results don't matter, it's more about the way we play, the way we pass the ball and how the players get themselves into positions," he continued. "And today the players got in great positions and did very well.
"We were very good in the first half; we showed good control on the ball and had lots of possession.
"The game was a perfect opportunity for the players to continue working on the fitness and preparing for the season."
