Sunderland boss Poyet keen on long-term target Austin

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is ready to make concrete his long-term interest for QPR striker Charlie Austin.

The Mail on Sunday says Sunderland are monitoring the situation of Austin and could make a move for him this summer.

During his spell in charge at Brighton, Poyet was a keen admirer of Austin and launched a bid to take the ex-Swindon man to the Amex Stadium.
