Sunderland boss Poyet fed up with FA Cup chaos

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is fed-up with the FA's fixture chaos.

Poyet says he would rather be knocked out of the FA Cup than play Southampton again.

"It is embarrassing not to know when we will have a replay," Poyet said. "It should have been decided a long time ago. I don't want a replay.

"What is the worst result? A replay. Is it worse than losing? Yes."

UEFA rules stipulate that domestic fixtures cannot be played on the same days as Champions League or Europa League nights.

This means that, if Sunderland draw, the replay could fall in the week of their Capital One Cup final against Manchester City.

"Is it normal that we should play in the week before the final?" Poyet continued. "I almost hope we have a replay so we can laugh about the date. Or should we just play one game like in the Capital One Cup?"
