Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is demanding Liverpool striker Fabio Borini make a decision over a return to Wearside.
The Mirror says Borini believes he deserves a fresh chance at Liverpool or another Champions League club and it will take some harsh words from boss Brendan Rodgers to snuff out that dream and see him head to Wearside.
Poyet says the next "two days" will decide Borini's future.
So far, Jordi Gomez, Billy Jones, Patrick van Aanholt and Costel Pantilimon have joined.
