Sunderland boss Roy Keane insists he remains determined to land his transfer targets before the end of the month.
"The three or four players we have on our list we still hope to sign in the next few weeks," Keane told Sky Sports News.
"But that is something I need to step back from, that is really to our chief executive to deal with. I like to focus on the games coming up and I am still hopeful of signing four players.
"I am not going into individual players at certain clubs as I would not like it if another manager commented on my players.
"If we want to sign these players we have to go through the right channels and first and foremost of all that is agreeing a fee with the club and we are trying to do that very hard with maybe four players."
