Sunderland boss Roy Keane has defenced his team selection for their 5-0 thrashing at Chelsea.
He brought in 18-year-old striker Martyn Waghorn for his first game of the season - and only the second Premier League start of his fledgling career - as Keane went 4-4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Keane also included youngsters Jordan Henderson and David Meyler on the bench, with Henderson coming on at half-time.
"These young players have earned the right to play for Sunderland, 100 per cent," Keane said.
"The way we performed at Stoke on Wednesday, I thought today was an ideal opportunity to get them involved."
