Sunderland boss Keane blasts Man Utd refs reaction

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has hit out at former club Manchester United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson for his rant against the refereeing for their FA Cup defeat by Portsmouth.

When asked whether Fergie had earned the right to speak out against refs, Keane said: "No. I don't think any manager should have any power over anybody else.

"In that game against Portsmouth in the FA Cup, United had 20 chances to score and didn't take them.

"It then surprised me to see them speaking about the ref.

"He (Fergie) wasn't the only one. Carlos Queiroz and Ronaldo both came out. United always taught me to be gracious losers. But they weren't that day."
