Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is looking forward to going back to Norwich City on Monday night.
The Stadium of Light chief made 180 appearances as a player for City between 1984-87 before moving on to captain Manchester United during one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
His last visit to Carrow Road - a Carling Cup tie in August 2009 - ended in a 4-1 win and Bruce is looking forward to heading back to his old stomping ground once more.
"I'll always have a special place in my heart for Norwich," he told safc.com.
"They gave me my chance. I was in the lower divisions when Ken Brown bought me in 1985.
"My two kids were born there - Norwich is a special place for me.
"The club helped me to have a great career and I will always be grateful for that."
