Liverpool have made Luis Suarez the highest paid player in their history.
The Daily Star says the Reds last night broke the bank by making Suarez the highest-paid player in their history.
Suarez has agreed a new contract that will give him a whopping £200,000 a week at Anfield.
The Reds hope the five-year deal will end speculation that the Uruguayan striker could quit the club, having pushed for a transfer all through the summer.
The deal - his pay has increased from £120,000 a week - comes days after managing director Ian Ayre flew to Barcelona to meet his agent Pere Guardiola.
