Australian goalkeeper Mitch Langerak is excited by the prospect of first team football at Stuttgart
The 26-year old, who has left Borussia Dortmund to join Stuttgart, admits he will have a battle on his hands to claim the number one goalkeeper position at his new club but insists he is excited by the challenge ahead of him.
Langerak is set for a three-way fight for the number one jersey, with Przemyslaw Tyton and Odisseas Vlachodimos also on the books for the German side.
"For goalkeepers it's completely normal to be in competition with two or three others. We all have to fight for our starting place. It's what I expected and I'm looking forward to the challenge," Langerak told the club's official website.
"When the season gets under way, the most important thing is that we get off to a good start - then we'll see what what's possible."
