VfB Stuttgart chief Alexander Wehrle insists there's no guarantee of losing Serhou Guirassy in January.

Newcastle United are ready to move for Guirassy over the New Year.

But Wehrle is adamant they can still keep hold of him, stating: "Serhou also chose VfB last summer with full awareness.

“He feels extremely comfortable in the club and with his family in Stuttgart. He has an outstanding position here."

Guirassy's contract has a €17.5m buyout clause for January and €20m for the summer.
