Sturridge warns Liverpool fans: I won't get back to my best until...

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge doesn't expect to return to his best until next season.

Sturridge is committed to helping Liverpool try and lift the FA Cup this season, but accepted that the level of his performances since returning from injury have been down from last season when he plundered 24 goals.

"It's been great to be back involved, but it's taking time to get back in the groove of things," said Sturridge at the launch of Liverpool's new kit.

"I am just happy to be playing. I am looking forward to finishing this season on a high, but next season will be when you really see what I can do.

"After being out for a long period of time this season has been very stop-start. This season is just about helping the team win something.

"Next season is when you'll see what I can really do again. My performances will be back to exactly where they were before."
