Daniel Sturridge will not feature for Liverpool in their League Cup clash with Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Sturridge is yet to play a game for new manager Jurgen Klopp, with the former Borussia Dortmund manager revealing that is unlikely to change in the coming days.
"There's nothing new. Sturridge is getting better but not quick enough to change the situation for us tomorrow," Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.
Klopp did not indicate whether the striker would be fit to play against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
