Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has played down concerns about his fitness by claiming that he felt good on Thursday night.
The 26-year-old, who scored the penalty to open for the scoring for the Reds against Manchester United in the Europa League clash, was substituted by manager Jurgen Klopp at the hour-mark of the 2-0 win.
With plenty of injury woes restricting him this term, it was feared Sturridge may have again succumbed to a problem, but he played down suggestions he is struggling with his match fitness.
"It's the manager's decision to choose which players he wants to play," he said.
"I'm fine. I'm fit.
'I'm ready to play as many minutes as the manager is prepared to give me."
