Danny Sturridge says Chelsea, not Manchester City, must be regarded as the Team of the Season.

Chelsea finished the campaign with the FA Cup and Champions League titles. In contrast, City claimed the Premier League title for the first time in 44 years but Sturridge believes Chelsea's triumphs put everyone else in the shade.

He told the London Evening Standard: "We have done the Double. Maybe we have not achieved what we wanted to in the Premier League but we have won the most trophies in England so we are the most successful team in England this year.

"You can't compare histories with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal but we have had the most successful season because we have won the most trophies.
