STUNNER! Berrada quits Man City to become new Man Utd CEO

Manchester United have raided Manchester City for new chief executive officer Omar Berrada.

Berrada has resigned as City's chief football operations officer to make the shock move across Manchester to take up the United post. He replaces Richard Arnold, who stepped down before Christmas.

It's been suggested Berrada will take charge at United in the summer.

"It is our stated ambition to re-establish Manchester United as a title-winning club," United said in a statement.

"The club is determined to put football and performance on the pitch back at the heart of everything we do. Omar's appointment represents the first step on this journey."

Confirming Berrada's resignation, City hinted they knew of his plans: "The club understands his decision to look for a new challenge and he leaves with our thanks and best wishes."
