Stuani hopes to retire with Girona; targets Europe

Cristhian Stuani admits he wants Girona to be the final club of his career.

The Uruguay striker turned 37 this week and his deal runs to 2026 - when he will be 40 years of age.

Stuani said: "I have made the decision quite easily that I want to retire at Girona. It would be a dream to do so at the club that I have defended the most and with which I have the commitment that everyone knows.

"There would be nothing more beautiful for me.

"It depends on me, we are two parties that normally have communion and have made decisions together, now it will not be different.

"Playing in Europe with Girona would be incredible. It is a goal that I have set between my eyebrows and I will do everything in my power to achieve it. It is an ambitious challenge for the club."
