John Stones was absolutely delighted after Manchester City produced a dramatic victory over AS Monaco tonight.
City came from 1-2 and 2-3 down to overhaul Monaco 5-3 in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg at the Etihad Stadium in what was a remarkable European contest.
Stones had been beaten off by Radamel Falcao for Monaco's third on 61 minutes before bobbing up at the other end to give City a 4-3 lead with his first Champions League goal.
Stones told BT Sport: "A lot of goals, I thought the three goals we conceded from a personal point of view, which is one of the things we need to work on great.
But we showed great team spirit, great desire and great goals from us. We created so much and could have had a few penalties.
"I'm thrilled to bits. I needed to make amends after what happened at the other end. I'm delighted, add it to the win and we move on from there."
