Stoke to stick with Lambert if relegated

Paul Lambert is safe at Stoke City - even if they go down.

The Mirror says Stoke are set to stick with Lambert even if relegated.

Lambert has impressed the club's top brass with an upturn in performances and has also tried to instil strict discipline on a difficult squad, cracking down on Saido Berahino, Ibrahim Allefay and Jese.

The Scot signed a two-and-a-half year contract when he took over from the sacked Mark Hughes in January and is doing enough to convince the club he's their man for the longer term despite not winning since his debut.

Lambert's side remain five points from safety with four games to go.
