Ryan Shawcross is close to agreeing a new, long-term deal with Stoke City.
The Telegraph says Stoke have offered Shawcross a new six-year contract in an attempt to prevent Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur making bids for the defender next year.
Shawcross is in advanced talks over a lucrative long-term deal that will ensure he sees out the peak years of his career at the Britannia Stadium, with manager Tony Pulis hopeful of ending the uncertainty over his future in the next few weeks.
