Stoke City haven't given up on landing Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

Stoke had a bid for the Swiss accepted last week, though the deal hasn't progressed any further.

The Mail on Sunday says the Potters are waiting to hear if their ambitious £12million move for Shaqiri will be successful.

Shaqiri is believed to be talking to other clubs besides Stoke where he would be the club's record signing.
