Stoke City midfielder Diego Arismendi is excited about his loan move to Huddersfield.

The Uruguayan is eager to help Huddersfield win promotion from League One.

"I know Huddersfield is a big team and a very nice place - a good place to come to play football," Arismendi told the club's official website.

"I also know the manager from last year at Leeds and the way he gets his team to play football. He called me and talked to me about how the team is fighting to get up, so I have come here for the season.

"I have one more year on my contract at Stoke and the gaffer wants me there, but I am not playing and I need games - I am a young lad."
