Stoke have fingers crossed for injured Fuller

Stoke City hope that the Achilles injury sustained by Ricardo Fuller on the weekend is not a serious one.

The Jamaica international suffered the problem after coming as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday and is touch and go for the May 14 FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Potter boss Tony Pulis said the club will learn more on Fuller's situation soon whilst teammate Rory Delap was hoping the striker would be right for the final.

"Let's see what the scans say first before we start throwing positives or negatives at it. Then we'll take a view," Pulis said.

Delap added: "It didn't look good after the game. We are all devastated if it is what everyone thinks it is.

"You never know with the scan but we are all thinking of him and we know how devastated he is.

"He's been a big part of this club and it will be devastating if Ricardo misses the final."
