Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says management is a 24/7 occupation.
Pulis' Stoke side go to Blackburn tomorrow, with Rovers boss Sam Allardyce absent after undergoing heart surgery today.
Allardyce has been told to take it easy and was banned by wife Lynn from using a mobile to stay in touch with Wednesday's defeat at Fulham.
But Pulis believes that is easier said than done as football people have the game in their blood.
And the Potters boss admits he still has regular health checks at Stoke.
He said: "Sam's had a problem but the good thing now is that doctors are at clubs almost full-time. So, if you feel anything, you report it and they get it sorted out.
"But I failed the mental stability test years ago when I became a manager.
"You have got to be a crackpot to be a manager so don't joke about the mental side of it!"
