Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton could be sent out on-loan next season.

"I want to have a good, long look at him when we get back for training before deciding what's best for Ryan," said Stoke boss Tony Pulis.

"He's a young lad we think a lot of and every decision at this stage of his career is important to his future.

"Because he's been out on loan, we haven't had a chance to work with him day-in, day-out over a long spell to check on his progress for ourselves.

"But the reports we've been getting back about him have been very good - and his playing record would suggest as much."
