Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has rejected reports linking the club with a move for out-of-contract midfielder Patrik Berger.
Recent reports had linked Berger with a return to the Britannia Stadium as Pulis looks to bolster his squad ahead of the club's campaign in the Premier League.
But Pulis insists he has had no contact with Berger, who had a loan spell at Stoke in 2006.
"I haven't even spoken to him, never mind put a contract on the table," Pulis told The Sentinel.
Berger, 34, will leave Aston Villa in the summer after a disagreement with manager Martin O'Neill.
