Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has hailed the impact of summer signing Peter Crouch.

Former Liverpool star Crouch returns to Anfield today.

And Pulis said: "Crouchy has been all I had hoped for and more. He has been outstanding on and off the pitch, a great addition to this club.

"He's such a down-to-earth lad. There has never been any hint of him being a big-time Charlie. That has endeared him to the group without a doubt."
