Stoke City boss Paul Lambert insists Saido Berahino will stay with the U23s.

Berahino has been banished to train with the U23s because of attitude and time-keeping issues, while Jese has gone AWOL in his native Spain.

Asked if he intended to stick by his decision over the forward pair, Lambert said: "One hundred per cent.

"I've got no qualms whatsoever about that. It's my decision and it's the right one for this football club."

Stoke go to Liverpool this weekend and the Scot continued: "My record is pretty good there and it's one of those grounds which feels kind of right. The lads I've had there have put in some good performances.

"We definitely have to win two of our games, and even then we'll have to see what happens and look at other results. All we can do is try our best to win."
